Personalized Training.A Clear Path Forward.

From South Philadelphia to the Philadelphia Union Academy, the University of Virginia, and professional soccer in the U.S. and Australia, Darius Madison has experienced the game at every level. Today, he brings those experiences to Philly Roots, helping young players sharpen their skills, build confidence, and prepare for the next step in their development.

Experience That Makes a Difference.

Darius grew up in South Philadelphia and developed through the Philadelphia Union Academy while finishing high school at La Salle College High School, then went on to play at the University of Virginia. At Virginia, he earned All-ACC honors and helped the Cavaliers win the 2014 NCAA national championship, scoring the semifinal goal that sent them to the final.

After being selected by Toronto FC in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, Darius continued his career in professional soccer in the USL and Australia, where he scored 13 goals in 24 games and was voted Fans’ Player of the Year.

Today, he uses the lessons he learned throughout his career to help young players improve with purpose. Every session is designed around the individual player, with focused instruction, meaningful feedback, and training tailored to their needs and goals. Whether a player wants to strengthen their fundamentals, become more confident on the ball, or prepare for the demands of competitive soccer, the goal is to help them understand what they need to improve and how to get there.
